About The Palmyra Foundation:
100% of the funds donated to The Palmyra Foundation go directly to the children of Jamaica by way of educational tools. This is made possible because The Palmyra Resort & Spa underwrites 100% of our operating costs and every individual working for the Foundation donates 100% of their time as a volunteer. In addition, the Foundation delivers the textbooks directly into the hands of each child. We have a self-imposed audit conducted by Deloitte & Touche to be completely transparent and verify our claim that 100% of the funds go directly to the Children of Jamaica.
Our Mission:
The Palmyra Foundation is dedicated to providing the children of Jamaica with the financial support to attain a proper education, by supplying all of their required textbooks without charge.

Our interest is to encourage the youth of Jamaica, in obtaining their education by making it more affordable and therefore more accessible while promoting hope, a positive outlook and prosperity for the betterment of not only themselves, but for our beautiful country of Jamaica.
Areas of Focus:
2007: The Palmyra Foundation supplied, WITHOUT CHARGE, all public infant school children in St. James with their textbooks. Our goal was met, as approximately 2,000 children received all of their required textbooks for the commencement of the school year, September 2007. We also met our first year financial goal of $4,400,000JMD.
2008: The Palmyra Foundation supplied, WITHOUT CHARGE, 50,000 textbooks to 10,971 infant school children in Jamaica, at a cost of over $285,000USD.
2010: This year, The Palmyra Foundation will provide a set of books to 2,000 pre-school children in the parish of St. James at a cost of approximately US$60,000. Each child will receive their own cinch pack with crayons, a pencil and a set of books including a 300 page Workbook and 2 - 3 classroom books at a value of US$30 per pack. We will be distributing books to all 4 and 5 year old public school children at 11 schools in St. James parish coinciding with the commencement of school w/c September 6th.
