The Palmyra Resort & Spa at Rose Hall announces new construction updates as the project advances.
(ROSE HALL, JAMAICA) - January 5, 2007 - The Palmyra Resort & Spa at Rose Hall, the first luxury beachfront community in Jamaica, announces new construction updates as the project advances, showing remarkable progress in the construction of its luxury villas and residences. Located next to the Ritz-Carlton on 16 acres of pristine waterfront, The Palmyra is currently building out Project 1 of its offering, which includes three condominium buildings, several villas, the 23,000 square foot E'SPA, beach, infinity pool and two restaurants, and is scheduled for completion in Spring 2008.
With construction moving briskly, The Palmyra is pleased to note several new updates on its Sabal Palm, Sentry Palm and Silver Palm buildings. The Palmyra has more than 2,000 pilings in the ground and the foundation was completed December 15, 2006. The number of workers on the project currently reaches 200-plus with that number soon more than doubling with the buildings going vertical.
"We're thrilled to watch the construction progress and The Palmyra take shape," said Robert T. Trotta, developer of The Palmyra and moving force behind the Resort Properties Group. "Now that the foundation is complete, construction will move rapidly—and vertically—and the community will be open before we know it. The Palmyra team is anxiously awaiting its first residents and guests."
The Palmyra's construction mirrors the progression of other new developments on the north shore including the recent opening of the private jet center at Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay and construction of the North Coast Highway, connecting Montego Bay and Ocho Rios. With The Palmyra as a key catalyst, Jamaica is positioned as the premier vacation and investment destination.
