2008 DISTRIBUTION FACT SHEET
In 2008, all 14 parishes were covered with the help of over 40 volunteers who lent a helping hand.
Almost 50,000 textbooks were distributed to 10,971 children at 88 public infant schools all over the island.
- 1,978 students at 18 schools in Kingston/St. Andrew and St. Thomas
- 629 students at 7 schools in Portland and St. Mary
- 1,129 students at 12 schools in St. Ann and Trelawny
- 2,996 students at 21 schools in St. James, Hanover and Westmoreland
- 1,312 students at 10 schools in Manchester and St. Elizabeth
- 2,927 students at 20 schools in St. Catherine and Clarendon
The value of the books distributed this year was over JA$20.3M (US$285,000).
